A Letter to Ron Part 3

I know you see it. The joy, the laughter. The long talks recognizing each other’s powers and boundaries while working towards being as healthy as we can for each other. It’s truly like a work of art, like the way we water each other with love and affirmations as we blend ourselves our colors together. Speak words of imagery on the canvas that we will bestow on the world. If I’m being honest with myself and the world, I know that she was coming my way long ago back when I was almost divorced the first time and I had times to think about what I would want in a mate if I had to do it all over again. Boxes are all matched up and checked off. You know what’s crazy Dad? People will probably think that I’m crazy for where I am in this relationship, but people don’t understand that I attracted this relationship. This beautiful woman I was meant to meet with; We needed the right timing for both of our lives. We needed to both be in a place where healing was needed and that the love that we have for each other would not be tainted by previous love. We had to grow and come to a place of our own where the canvas was once again blank. So, as we paint this landscape together for the future with things to build upon and living in unison. I think about how much you would love her too. I know you would be proud. I know you would treat her like a daughter just off the strength of everything that I would have already told you. I can vividly imagine your reaction after the first time meeting her like “damn Dre, you weren’t kidding. I like this one.” In so many ways and with so many things I always hope to make you proud. I know within this choice I’m confident, hell not even worried. I know you’re smiling at us, so please stay with us always and give me guidance to be the best man that I can be for this beautiful woman and all that she is and yet still to become.

Dealing With Critiques

The feeling of a dagger through your very own creations can be devastating. People deflating how you feel about the art you share with the world. You hope that people will understand your vision. Your work purposely diverges from others. Breaking rules and going against the norm of the stiff individuals that follow those that came before them. Where is the artistry? You know, when you do things differently than your forefathers? Will you quit, take it as a grain of salt, or use what you can and improve your craft without compromising your authenticity?

I’m sure anyone who has created something and allowed the public to witness their creations has had an experience like this. In our society, we are often compared to others who may be following strict guidelines while creating. For the more colorful individuals who paint outside the lines we are often condemned for our approach instead of being appreciated for adding flavor to our content. This is especially true when there are rigid rules that have been taught to everyone since grade school about your choice of expression.

In my opinion, critiques can serve as a powerful tool or a road block. It is up to the individual receiving the critique how they handle it. I recently received one that made me feel as if the way I express myself on these blogs may be too unprofessional for the strict world of writing. I try to make these blogs easy to read and flow while conveying messages to people of all levels of reading comprehension. My blog is for anyone willing to read, teens and young adults included (majority of my views).

I choose to take this critique as a grain of salt but also use it as a second rung on my step ladder. I will focus a little harder and take my time to eventually reach new heights. All of my writing up to date has been free writing with little to no preparation. After this post, I will take my time, brainstorm, edit more and ensure that I’m at least straddling the line of a more well put together creation. However, I will not lose the sense of humor nor random thoughts within my blogs. I enjoy my randomness and freedom with words; I hope you all do too.

Thank you.

Being Happy Now

Have you ever struggled with being happy because you find yourself only living for the future? We often do not appreciate the struggle and imagine ourselves only living when we have accomplished our life’s goal. We look at athletes and creatives such as famous people we enjoy watching and thinking they were just lucky. “Oh, if only I had their luck.” Being happy in the now is just as essential as enjoying the fruits of your labor in the future.

If while you are working hard you allow discontent and envy to stop you from reaching your goals then it may not have been for you. If you take the people who inspire you as an example they are still some of the hardest workers. Jay Z and Beyoncé work harder than anyone I personally know; Charlamagne the God is always working. I Just saw on the JJ Reddick Podcast where Jimmy Butler was talking about how Mark Wahlberg wakes up around 2-3 o’clock in the morning to start his routine. These people may have gone through hard times during their come up but I’m certain they were able to find “beauty in the struggle” as said by J. Cole.

Knowing what is to come if you are actively working for it and allowing yourself to enjoy it are two keys of success. How can you enjoy the outcome if you don’t enjoy the journey? The Journey will consist of some of the same things you will be doing as a successful individual. The work doesn’t stop, it only intensifies as you step into a bigger league of what you did to get there. Being happy now is not always easy as I struggle with this myself. I know what I want for the future and not every avenue has panned out the way I planned (AS OF YET) but those “Ls” are lessons. Enjoy the learning process and share them with others. Have a team with you to keep you focused and grounded as we can all learn and enjoy each other’s struggle. Manifesting good things come from good vibes unless you want karma chasing you. Believe in yourself and the process. Know that you already have what you desire but that it will unveil itself when the time is right. Enjoy these times filled with lessons and hardships the best you can, as they will be only memories shared with laughter as you and your team remanence on the past

Should I Be a Writer

Should I be a writer? This question has come to my mind many of times but for some reason I have previously not been able to pull the trigger. Writing has always been so easy to me yet never been something I thought would be worthwhile cultivating and turning into a true skill. It seems to be a relatively natural skill of mine as I can seriously free write for hours without ever dropping the pencil. However, with all skills, they are our weapon and without sharpening will become dull. So now I write this out to really test myself and also provoke possible thoughts and emotions that may very well lead me to an answer or at least in the right path. Thank god for YouTube as I see so many various paths to use in this journey. The best part is I have the full support of my family and friends to at least do as a hobby even if it is never monetized which would of course be nice but I do feel as if I need an outlet.

Throughout my life I’ve always been introverted and in my own thoughts especially as a child as I spent most of my time alone. My father raised me with the help of the multitude of women in his life. I feel as if I should really sit down and recount my life to figure out just how many there were. I’m often on the road going to work when a memory will pop in my head and I’ll say to myself “Oh yeah I forgot about that chick but I only lived with her for two weeks”. As this was a normal event in my life you can probably understand why I don’t have many friends and find it hard to really give the effort as an adult. So as a child I used to create stories with characters as I would draw and often cutout to use as action figures. I would sit at my desk in the 3rd grade up to 5th and crank out stories. For my Standards of Learning (SOL) which is the final exam for those grades in Virginia I wrote this long story based off of a Pokémon character I made up. This was not what the instructions said to do but I missed class for the SOL and had to make it up in the library. Like most kids and even adults I didn’t bother to read the instructions I just skimmed to see how long it had to be. As I wrote this fictional story I went into so many different stories within the story as if I were going to create the show myself. This started roughly around 8 o’clock and before I knew it lunch came and passed even though the prompter who was just the librarian told me to go to lunch, I never did. I just continued and cranked out as much as I could until 10 minutes before the bell rung and my teacher stopped me and took the exam. She semi scolded me as I was only supposed to be in there for 2 hours. She must have thought I was playing around wasting time as I was a known skipper. Yes, I was constantly skipping class in the 4th and some of 5th grade. Let me just say Zelda Ocarina of Time, Pokémon Stadium and Pokémon Snap almost landed me into special ed for skipping 75% of the 4th grade. When she picked up my papers and saw how many pages I had burned a whole through (write with vigor) she was impressed and looked fairly confused and astonished. I know most kids may write for a short period of time but often get bored and chew on their erasers as they count all the holes in the vinyl ceiling. I was slightly relieved to be able to go home but a part of me was pissed as I was not done and tried my hardest multiple times to just end it but I could not do that injustice to my story. When I got my grade, I don’t remember what it was but it was a decently high score but they took off points because it did not follow the instructions and I did not even begin my final draft which was supposed to be on the special piece of paper that was supplied. She did take me to the side and said she enjoyed my story and my writing but could not give me the grade it probably would earn given different circumstances.

Fast forward to my college experience I was in a writing class as it was a prerequisite for my major which had nothing to do with writing. The first 10 minutes of class was dedicated to free writing which I thoroughly enjoyed. Most of the students did not seem to care for this as much as they would sometimes even give the Professor a hard time about it. They were also only in that class as a prerequisite. As time went on I was able to see and hear the writings of the students who were there for writing and I always had admiration for their thoughts, vocabulary and way with words. I was surprised to hear that they felt the same about mine, probably minus the vocabulary as I tend to keep my writing simple with only a few stand out words. This I am consciously working on. When life took a change in course and I decided to use the skills I developed in the United States Navy for cash flow over my dreams I dropped out of college. When my teacher received the notice she did not hesitate to contact me and ask if I could stop by her office. Being my favorite professor there was no question in my mind that I would take the time to visit. I loved her passion for writing and her idiosyncrasies she displayed with her look and aura. She told me she was fond of my skills and that I had a true story to tell as I would often write based off my experiences without holding back no matter possible repercussions of others perception on my life. As I could easily tell my upbringing was quite different than my peers. She explained that if I chose to I could have a future in writing and how she hoped I would continue to write. As we parted ways she gave me a book of her personal collection in hopes to inspire me to continue writing. As I was young and unintentionally ungrateful I only read the first 3 chapters. She is the only Professor that really stood out to me while in college and that I would be able to pin point in a crowd of people. I do not mistake this as something meaningless but something to hold on to as a message.

Final thoughts, I will explore this new realm in my life and see where it takes me. My hopes are that you will join me in this exploration as I promise to explore all possible crevices and stories of my life that made me the man, father, husband, friend and entrepreneur I am today. Also, I would like to bring light to my aspirations for the future as I become the wielder of my own universe with spoken words and passionate thoughts. I have Law of Attraction tattooed on my chest so you can expect this will also be a part of my writing. I hope to hear feedback from you all and let’s walk this journey together as I am very much interested to hear of you own.

Thank you

As I Let Time Pass Me By

(published but actually a rough draft, I think you’ll undertand when finished)

Time, it’s such a tricky thing as many people have different opinions on what it is. Some people believe it is not even real. Yet it dictates so much of our lives. From the rich to the poor. I believe Gandhi is one of the few people that lived above it or at least without concerning himself with it. I could deep dive into this but “time is of the essence” so let me get to the point.

There are so many things we want to do or accomplish as human beings. We’re living in a time period where living for the moment with eyes wide open is nurtured and normalized. Decades ago this was not the case as whimsical “time card shredding” careers were thought to be unobtainable. Were moving towards beating the clock. However, these tend to be some of the busiest people I’ve witnessed but at least they typically enjoy what they do and desire to do more and not just for money.

Myself, well I find myself trying to refigure my life out after a divorce. Twiddling my fingers when I’m not punching my time card. Why am I doing this? I had to self reflect and really dig into my chaotic mind. Calm and mentally soothe myself before realizing… I’m just comfortable in my discontent. I know what I want but that takes energy. My job is already demanding right? Well I would say I don’t have time but what if time doesn’t exist. Would time not existing be a benefit or detriment?

I do believe believe in time. I believe it is kind of a slap in the face to the intelligence of the human race to believe otherwise (my opinion). I say it’s real because it is a relative way of tracking life of all things. Is it a made up, sure but it is a creation based on relativity. I’ll explain, as far as I know we started out by watching the patterns of the sun and moon and eventually created big structures that would cast shadows to be able to understand the patterns of day and night. Eventually sundials came to existence same thing but smaller scale. We have been able to literally come up with a system that allows us to live in a continuous cycle of the seasons, full moons, lunar eclipses, cropping and a fairly legitimate way of tracking our aging process. We know how long it takes to lap the sun. So is time created, sure but that doesn’t make it fake. It is a tremendously amazing man made way to track the progression of all things. My opinion we should honor that and be proud of those before us that prove our intelligence as a species. I digress (should be its own post).

In closing, I’ll make this short, I need to stop chaffing my thumbs on themselves and grab hold of life. This blog is my second task in this journey. Always believe in yourself and check yourself. Some of us are our own worst enemy. Let’s love and appreciate ourselves by giving this one life the best shot at being fulfilled. Time is on your side so use it. It’s real, but it’s maluable within your own perception. Wield it, time is one of our greatest man made weapons.

I Was a Crazy Kid 😝

Daily writing prompt
When you were five, what did you want to be when you grew up?

I’m not 100% sure on the age but I distinctly remember telling my father with conviction that I was going to be Darkwing Duck when I got older. Like a good parent he smirked, shook his head a little and walked off.

USING TIME WISELY DURING TIME OF CORONA

Lots of challenges all over the internet, these are good for morale and have a place as they alleviate some of the stress the world is feeling. However, there are some good introspective challenges that may be escaping your thoughts and attention. These times can very well pass you by and ultimately leave you in the same or worse situation you were in before Corona came to town.

Netflix is a well-known way to let the days pass you by and with a little bit of chill added to it everyone gets excited but hopefully we challenge our brains and creativity as well. That book that someone told you would really help and possibly change your life; yes, the one collecting dust in the deepest darkest creavis of your home. Take some time to dust it off and bring it to the light and allow it to unlock keys in you mind. These keys may unlock so many doors and answers in your life. Rich Dad Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki changed my life when I read it on my 9-month deployment in the Navy. These are things we often feel like we don’t have time for, but I know a lot of time has opened for many of us, take advantage.

That creative outlet you been thinking about or searching for is waiting for you. We neglect the things we often enjoy the most when we feel life is too busy. Possibly why so many people are depressed. So what your parents brainwashed you into thinking your hobbies are a waist of time! Now is the time to explore these creative outlets as so many people before you have done and made a living from it. You know its true, you see them all day on your phone wishing it could be you. I can’t help but feel as if I’m channeling my inner Gary Vee (need motivation look him up).

Investments will become more affordable as time goes on with Corona continuing its tear through the country at record pace. These are the times when the quick moving investors take advantage of the market and the loss of the less suave investors. In this game we call capitalism there will always be winners and losers. If you have the means and knowledge to get in on some of the action do so when things bottom out as the right companies/investments will recover over time. Do your due diligence first because not every investment will survive.

I would like to take the time to acknowledge that these are hard times and by no means do I take this lightly. Some people are losing friends and family members, the last thing on their mind is probably trying to take advantage of this time. Some people are out of work and cannot afford to risk money doing other things that are known for their risk and possible reward. I acknowledge these challenges but hope people can take advantage of the life they have as much as possible. Despite all efforts we can only prove to have this one life, nothing else has yet to be proven.

My thoughts go out to all of you, please like, comment and share if you wish. Very much appreciated

INTENT ON MY INTENTIONS

Having intent on my intentions may seem fairly redundant but I assure you it is not. Have you ever intended on making up your bed every morning and it started out great for the first week or month? Then life happens and it’s all destroyed by one busy day with a side of rushing to work. You can have intentions on doing something but how much intent do you have on those intentions. Do you set a reminder on your door, do you set your alarm clock 5 minutes earlier? If for some reason you leave the house before doing so would you make it up when you got home even if you would be laying in it 3-4 hours later? How much intent are on your intentions; are you willing to sleep less, be uncomfortable, swallow your pride or even work for free for an unknown possible indefinite amount of time? Well I promise you that I am far from being on my high horse, I’ll prove it to you.

So today I am feeling less than accomplished and slightly defeated although I have surely won some daily battles. Demons, please leave a comment if you have demons it is not necessary to be specific but I would like to show/know that we all have demons. No matter how our life may look we all face personal hurdles or demons in our life. Hopefully we are striving to banish them. I am currently having a small (probably big to some) drink to take the edge off. What edge you may ponder? Well the edge of having a day that usually would lead me to doing something I used to highly enjoy but now is something I stopped as it was a negative habit. I realize this is something I no longer enjoy but when time permits it seems that it is the only thing missing in my day. There are many forms of these habits but I’ll call them as they are, addictions. You can be addicted to drugs, porn, writing, singing, exercise, vegetables and even religion. The definition of addiction is “the fact or condition of being addicted to a particular substance, thing, or activity.” Well this means that even good things can become addictions therefore all things in your life need to be balanced. I have my battles and I’m sure you or someone you know have theirs but patience, solidarity and real intention will conquer these battles.

I have intentions on really doing something with this blog over time. I would like this to be a gateway to speaking to people in an open forum. Motivational speaking would be amazing to me. I want to talk to the youth, all of the youth but truthfully the young black youth are the people I really feel like I can impact the most. I have been through a lot and I can sympathize with them a lot as we have probably encountered similar circumstances and demons in our livers. This will show them they can and will prevail too. I have intentions on continuing my real-estate business and being successful in my stocks and the rest of my investment portfolio. Even though I believe I am on the right path with these intentions I am not forging countermeasures to insure these intentions happen. Putting proper intent on these intentions I have neglected.

We have the power to do as we please to create our own destiny and not stand by as an unknown entity chooses it for us. This is why I hope we all follow through and put intent on our intentions as this will allow us to follow through with our desires. This will lay the structure, the foundation for our endeavors. How can we truly accomplish anything of great importance or magnitude without preparation? That intent is the preparation while the intention is just the idea. I hope this makes since as it is vital to sustaining the actions taken to accomplish goals. I will work on having intent as I hope you do the same.

Please comment and subscribe if you enjoyed/feel the same. Let me know if you disagree or just have something to add. All interactions are welcome, thank you.

Practicing Mindfulness Meditation: Manifest Your Reality

I want to start by saying that research has shown that Mindful Meditation has improved people’s memory, stress levels and attention. Mindful Meditation can also promote empathy and a strengthening in brain activity/frequency. There are simple steps to having a fulfilling Mindful session of meditation:

  1. CREATE/FIND THE RIGHT ENVIRONMENT
    • The best environment is a calm place where you can have 10-20 minutes either to yourself or with your meditation group. This can be at home, a gym class or out in nature. The main thing is ensuring you can be comfortable and undistracted.
  2. POSITIONING
    • Typically, you will find people sitting in Indian style with their arms laying aligned with their legs and palms open facing the sky. This promotes being open and welcoming to the energies of the universe. However, this posture is not mandatory for successful meditation but works well.
    • You can position yourself however you please but understand that the positioning of the body promotes a difference in the transfer of energy. One thing you want to be aware of is having an open/welcoming posture and to be grounded to the earth. Whether it’s just your feet or your buttocks ensure you are grounded to the earth.
    • Straighten yourself allowing your spine to either be parallel or 90 Degrees to the ground. Do not slouch as this will hinder your breathing and focus.
  3. AWARENESS AND BREATHING
    • Having self-awareness is pivotal in having a fruitful experience. When you start notice the positioning of your body parts such as your hands and feet. Focus on these two (one at a time) and just be aware of their placement, how they feel, are they warm or cold. Be mindful about your physiological being.
    • Then notice your breathing, be intentional about your breathes. Notice your chest expanding and contracting. Feel the Oxygen filling your lungs and exhaling the Carbon Dioxide.
    • Singularly focus on these things try not to wander, it takes practice so be patient with yourself you will get there.
  4. STAYING FOCUSED AND MANIFESTING
    • Do your best to stay focused on your breathing and you will eventually hit your ultimate calm. You will for those moments be stress free and you will be able to physically feel this.
    • As you become engulfed in positive stress-free energy notice your vibration, be mindful of how you feel.
    • If manifestation is part of your intentions then allow yourself to wander into the world you see yourself living but only the best version of you.
    • Take note of the environment, the people, what you are doing and most importantly the feeling it gives you envisioning the life you desire.
  5. BE MINDFUL OF THIS EXPERIENCE
    • Be mindful of all parts of this experience you will likely feel very different and have a particularly new perspective after a powerful session.
    • It is good to spend 10-20 minutes meditating but shorter or longer is also effective. Give it as much time as you have or are willing to do so.
    • Try to meditate periodically throughout your days and work towards making it a habit.

Be Mindful and Intentional in your life. It is your life you choose the outcome. On a personal level, there are things moving in my life taking me towards my goals and these things sometimes surprise me as I do not know every detail of the path but knowing the destination I can see the universe is leading me in the right direction.

7 TECHNIQUES TO ATTRACTING POSITIVE ENERGY INTO YOUR LIFE!

  1. MEDITATION

Meditation is something that a lot of people often try but do not tend to stick with. If you really want positive energy in your life then meditation is definitely the way to go. You will be able to realize what you truly want in life and see them manifest over time as you are having one of the most INTENTIONAL CONVERSATIONS WITH THE UNIVERSE. I love to meditate myself but I honestly don’t do this as much as I wish. Some people do not stick with meditation because they feel as if they are doing it wrong. People often get upset because they cannot quite the voice in their head. Well then try not to stop them but just be aware of them. Then see if you can reset your focus after you allow the thought to dissipate. People also feel as if they don’t have time, I’ll elaborate on this more as I will talk about meditation more in the future but there is so much time but you have to make it, IT WILL NOT MAKE ITSELF! If you are really struggling there are multiple techniques to meditating, try them out and see which one works for you. Please give this an honest chance as you can truly feel the energy/vibrations ascending from your body to the Universe. I meditated my son into my life which I will also explain more later. This can be life changing, what do you have to lose? TRY IT!

  1. POSITIVE THOUGHTS

This is something that takes dedication and much practice. Sure, it seems easy enough but if you really deep dive into it you will realize this is a lifestyle change. You will now separate yourself from the majority of the people and wind up on the other side of the energy spectrum from possible friends and family. Throughout the day the mind is said to have 60,000 to 80,000 thoughts per day. You will not be able to control all of them. As much as you can talk positivity this will help morph your mindset more positively. Instead of looking at a deadline as a negative thing look at it as a challenge you accept that will make you better at that task in the long run. Plus, it affirms your capabilities. Say you don’t like your car just know this car as long as it can will help you get to where you need to start the domino effect to a new one, possibly the one of your dreams if you ask the Universe for it and know that it is coming. Your brain has roughly 86 billion neurons giving off electrical signals rapid fire like spark plugs. These electrical signals give off energy negative/positive depending on your thoughts that attract like energy (positive thoughts/positive energy/positive outcome and the opposite holds the same law).

3. THE COMPANY YOU KEEP

The company you keep around you will definitely effect the way the energy that is in your life. Energy is contagious and we share it with people we pass by on the street so you can be sure you share it with the people you truly spend time with. This time can be long distance as well, just because they are on the phone or Face-Time doesn’t mean that their flu like energy wont infect you and bring your day down. I’m sure we can all attest to having someone’s bad day become a damper on our own or that smiling bubbly cashier makes you realize that negative fog of a mood is overrated and allows your spirit to be uplifted. These are all testaments of needing to keep good energy people around you. This means that as we grow in our life: setting goals, having families, growing spiritually, awakening and cultivating our inner peace that we may need to make changes. Sometimes everyone is not meant to be with you throughout your entire life. I’ve learned this painfully myself but I have to PROTECT MY ENERGY, YOU SHOULD DO THE SAME. As you shed some people don’t worry you don’t always need mass amounts of people influencing your life. The right amount of people will stay in your life as you will shed some but gain LIKE MINDED INDIVIDUALS. These people are key, as they uplift you and allow you to uplift them which is necessary in this balance of energy. These are all good things, I will say this though… give people a chance to change, help guide them into a more positive being. If they mean something to you then try, but don’t waste your time. You will know when the effort is truly not being reciprocated and know that the tide is coming in which will wash away the old and bring in the fresh and new.

4. SLEEP

Everyone always claim to have the hustler mentality SLEEP WHEN I DIE, well the sad truth is that this behavior may be the thing that kills you. Ensure you have adequate sleep so you can function and be at your highest vibration possible. Now I am not saying to just sleep your life away and not grind it out (work hard). You need to earn that good night’s rest. If you are on a mission in life then go get it, grind it out during the time periods that you need to. Then when you get a chance and you have earned your sleep, MAKE THE TIME and sleep. A groggy head will not allow the full vibrating potential you have. So, grind it out and get your sleep, this is key to brain functions.

5. HEALTH

Mental health is paramount in having good energy if your head is all messed up then how can you properly attract and manifest what you truly need and want. Eat and sleep right so your brain has what it needs. Exercise so your body doesn’t have to work harder just to live especially your cardiovascular and nervous system. Staying physically healthy will allow for the proper oxygen to your brain and your heart will be able to perform at a higher efficiency. These things all work together. Your social life is also a health factor. Not only is having some form of a social life in itself healthy but ensuring those social interactions are healthy themselves. As #4 states the company you keep will affect your energy. Ensure your body and mind are able to perform the tasks that will take you as far as you want in life because without them, WELL YOU DEAD.

6. AFFIRMATION OF SELF

Who can you truly at the end of the day rely on? If there is anyone that I’m choosing to rely on it will be myself. I’m not saying that you can’t disappoint yourself but honestly you already know that you’re going to disappoint yourself so are you really disappointed? You have to believe in yourself at all times. This includes knowing certain limitations which will allow you to use that DOMINANT HUMAN BRAIN (compared to other species) to find a way to break that limitation. When you trust in yourself and give yourself positive affirmations then you are truly in control. That energy is limitless and the Universe will take notice. If you doubt yourself then you will receive that energy. Long story short be positive and receive it, be negative and receive it. Always speak positive things about yourself, be courageous and let others know that you are great and will achieve your goals. Even when things get hard let yourself know that FRICTION ONLY EXIST WHEN WORK IS BEING DONE (oh that’s a BAR)! So that resistance in life is only a sign for good things to come if you stick with it. Believe in yourself and everything else will respond as needed.

7. GRATITUDE

Last but not least gratitude, show gratitude for where you are in life. Sometimes this maybe harder to do at times given current circumstances. This is something that is important to remember those are just circumstances, you can sometimes change them or at least change how you perceive them. For example, I recently found out about a good friend having his wife leave him and they share kids together. Now this can be hard to be grateful for and I’ve never been in those shoes but I hope if he reads this he takes it openly. In these circumstances, you can have gratitude for what that relationship blossomed. Two beautiful children that I know they have maybe more. The lessons that can be learned from the experience and I’m sure it wasn’t all bad so those good memories. All these things shape us to who we are and will become. I’m not going to speak further on this because I do not know what the future holds for them but I hope both parties are able to be grateful no matter what for the time and creations they shared. Gratitude, remind yourself daily on the things you are thankful for. This allows for positive self-affirmation, positive thoughts and mental health. A good way to really practice this is through meditation, as you can see these things really do all correlate. Keep positive influences in your life this will help you as they will constantly remind you of reasons to be grateful during the harder times. Also, be grateful for the things that you want because as I have said before you already have it, it’s just deeper down your linear time line all you have to do is STAY THE COURSE. If you divert and break the plane than that is on you. So be grateful that you have it, mention what you are grateful for daily, reaffirm it and believe that you will acquire more things to be thankful for as time goes on.

Sorcery is like a drug after the first time I was hooked and haven’t quite stopped since. When you get out of the United State Armed Forces you typically feel as if something is owed to you. You have made this huge sacrifice for your country to include: sanity, family, time, memories and just everyday life. This is not the case, people owe you nothing and we tend to figure that out the hard way. However, there are many people who do appreciate your service and will give you opportunities.

My wife and I found ourselves in Tigard, Oregon when we left Hampton, Virginia after our time of service in the military. We did not have anything planned other than possibly going to school and figuring out a job when we got there. Obviously, we had a nice size savings but there is even a lesson in that, but that’ll be for later. In this plush vibrant green forestry surrounding the metropolitan of Portland, Oregon seemed that all was of a fairytale. There were multiple beautiful waterfalls all in a row of each other. You can just drive down Historic Columbia River Highway off RTE 84 and see them one after the other or get the real majestic feeling by hiking and allowing the cool yet clear and inviting water to flow between your toes as you relax at the bottom of the falls. My wife was finally at peace as the environment was tranquil, the people were the nicest we’ve encountered and the suburbs of Portland were a decent size yet quaint towns to match her new show Once Upon a Time. This fairytale however had one irreversible problem, “Competition.” The area of Portland is widely known for being competitive as it is a nice place as just described and the new stomping ground for Californians as they are fleeing their overpriced homes. Californians not only bringing their fancy degrees but also buying houses in cash inflating the housing market. Needless to say, the native Oregonians were not fans. Soon we learned to not be either as we were now affected by this as well. All the jobs I wanted and would clearly be able to get in Virginia came with too tall of an order in Portland. So, I was stuck doing dirty jobs making just under $20/hr which is a decent wage but not quite where I envisioned myself. My father always believing in me and putting me up on game (intellectually investing) told me I needed to watch the Law of Attraction and that I could watch it on YouTube. I’ve always believed that humans were powerful beings and our emotions and thoughts had power but not until watching the Law of Attraction did I understand the science and sorcery of it all. This movie changed my outlook and my life but at the time I was slightly unsure. I had to give it a test run. Things had not been going my way and I was currently unemployed so this new spark of inspiration was all I could hold on to, plus our savings were dwindling as if it were a fish washed up on shore.

I had to test the strength of my wand I felt that this could not just be some hocus pocus buffoonery but the real deal. I learned that you strengthened your wand by envisioning the results as yours but just further down your linear time line. It’s not a want, you already have it but it’s just further down your time line when you have it. Imagine instead of wanting to get your degree you are of the understanding that the degree is already yours. You have it as long as you believe and work towards it. I know it sounds so simplistic, well it is. People often doubt themselves and tell themselves what they can’t have or don’t deserve. Well, then they will go without and do not deserve it. Only when you believe in the right things will the universe reward you with the right things. If you only focus on the wrong things then the universe realizes you are attracted to those as well and POOF they appear. As our bank account was gasping for air I knew I had to put this to work. I thought of a random but relatively reasonable number and focused on it. “I will find a job making $27/hr, I will find a job making 27/hr,” I chanted to myself. Throughout every day I made the conscious decision to intentionally think of the number 27 and chant it continuously at least 20 times. It’s not hocus pocus as I have mentioned before, I still had to apply to jobs and interview for positions. Remember this sorcery is not one of fairytales but one that was real and needs to be followed up with work and dedication.

I received a phone call one morning from the HR lady from EVRAZ North American Steel, they wanted to interview me for a Journeyman Millwright position I had applied to. Now I was never one to turn down a decent interview but I vaguely remembered applying as I didn’t even know what a Millwright was let alone be a Journeyman in it. So, I prepared myself and went to the interview. I’m usually not nervous for interviews either way but considering I was not in any way qualified for this job made me even more at ease as I just took this as practice and a relative waste of time. When it was time I walked into the all grey room with long cheap WWF (Wrestling) like tables lined up with 7 people as the panel. All of them with nice but devious smiles on their faces as if they were ready to wring me a new one and give me the 3-D through the table. “Welcome to EVRAZ North America, we are glad you are able to join us this evening” said the first person I was sitting directly in front of. With no care in the world I responded, “Thanks for having me and I’m feeling pretty good” as I didn’t think much of my time there. They wasted no time with disqualifying me from the potential job by asking me “So how long have you had your Journeymen License?” I was puzzled as I thought to myself, “Do people even bother to read resumes before they invite them to an interview?” I actually got slightly nervous now realizing these people had no idea what they were in for. I answered them by saying “I do not have a license nor am I an apprentice but I do feel as if I could learn.” They all looked at each other and let me know that they specifically needed a journeyman but would do the interview anyways considering they all took time out of their busy schedules to do so. When the interview was over they all looked at each other again and explained to me that they loved my personality, honesty and that I actually answered the questions better than some previous Millwrights. So, I thanked them for their time and went on with life without even considering the possibility.

Three weeks later I am back in Virginia visiting my dad and applying online to various jobs still having interviews over the phone and in person. Nothing would stop me from getting a decent job I thought to myself. It will come, I just stayed focused on my number, 27! RING RING RING! The phone goes off and my heart feels with joy like a girl winning prom queen as I saw the unfamiliar Portland Oregon number. I knew it had to be a job opportunity as most people who call me are from the East Coast. I answered and the lady said, “Hello is this Ronnie Chandler?” I answered back yes and she continued “Hi this is Melissa from EVRAZ North America and we would like to offer you the Journeyman Millwright position.” I told her yes of course, didn’t know it would work out all things considered but I was unemployed. After she went through her HR jargon she finally popped the big question. It was as if the was on one knee as she asked, “Well we realize you have limited experience but we will still pay you at the bottom of the Journeyman rate, would $27.50/hr work for you?” My heart skipped a beat as I calmly answered with the only two words fitting for this matrimony “I DO.” After we finished on the phone I finally let out my excitement and immediately called my wife, father and best friend Victor to tell them about everything. This was the start of a new life.

I want to explain something very important, I was not overly excited about some random job as my end game is self-employment. Jobs are to be leveraged to fund my dreams. I was excited about that random number I picked out, 27. I was only getting offers just below $20 before I watched the Law of Attraction. Those were the only opportunities that would call me for even an interview. I never saw this as a coincidence but a true testament. People are in apprenticeships for 5 years to get a Journeyman and when a job needs a Journeyman that is not something they waive off because your cute. No this is almost law for these jobs so how could I possibly land this job. Then 50 cents above what I wanted. I didn’t even know the range for the job until she offered me the job. This has led to a lot more manifestations in my life but this was the first one with conscious INTENTION behind it. I have manifested many things from higher paying jobs to a certain amount to getting checks instead of bills in the mail for 2 months. I do warn you though, make sure what you desire will truly bring you and the people around you happiness because the universe doesn’t care about the results of you getting what you manifest only that you ask and you receive. I have recently manifested something that backfired and my family is still digging out of that whole. Next time on DBZ, no, but seriously, I’ll share that story later as it is full of lessons within itself. Watch, read, listen and soak in the different laws of the Universe they do work and choose wisely. The Beyond is yours to shape, mold it well.

Thank you
